A BIG congratulations to the winners of the 2017 GCA Still Life competition! I was so very proud to see good friend and colleague Emma Hirst not only make it to the “finals”–but that she was able to create something quite wonderful in only six days. I wouldn’t have stood a chance as I don’t think I could have kept up with her (or any of the artists) at that pace. So a big congratulations to her and all the participating artists this year!
I’d also like to thank the fine artists at GCA for organizing such a fun event. It is a truly special thing to bring artists together in a shared pursuit and this was no execption. <3
