Here are a few activities that are often found in resources on the topic: The Remote Associates Test (RAT) was developed by Sarnoff Mednick in the 1960s as a test used to measure creative convergent thinking. You can actually give it a try here: [Remote Associates Test](https://www.remote-associates-test.com/) The Alternative Uses Test was designed by J.P. Guilford in 1967. The test asks you to think of as many uses as possible for a simple object, like a brick or a shoe, or a paperclip. [ALTERNATIVE USES TEST.](https://davebirss.com/altuses/) (_although I don’t recommend buying the book on this site as I haven’t read it._) Another activity that helps us to further evaluate the associations we make (which can be said to be the root of some descriptions of “creativity) is sketchnoting. [Sketchnoting](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sketchnoting), also commonly referred to as visual notetaking, is the creative and graphic process through which an individual can record their thoughts with the use of illustrations, symbols, structures, and texts. By combining graphics with the traditional method of using text, the result is information that is captured and communicated visually and artistically. [Sketchnoting](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sketchnoting) can be used in a variety of settings and scenarios, such as at conferences, work meetings, classes in school, sporting events, and more. Some elements associated with sketchnoting techniques include using text, emphasized text, basic shapes, containers, connectors, icons and symbols, and sketches and illustrations.
