I returned to art in 2009 in my fifties after a very long hiatus. Since then I have studied with about 30 teachers in various classes and workshops in the D.C. Area, a couple of workshops at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, and another in Montorno, Tuscany Italy. I currently study online with Sadie Valeri and Paul Foxton. I am not a trompe d'oeil artist, though I do admire the mastery required. My favorite mediums are charcoal, oil, and most recently I have returned to doing some simple pieces with ink and watercolor.
