And yet I keep trying 
I ran into this same issue with a painting of pomegranates. Iām bouncing back and forth between the sticker look or the too fuzzy look. I eventually let the entire thing dry then I went back and oiled that area out and basically glazed out thin layers on the entire pomegranate so that the different hues and values turned the edges. Those are the frustrating times that hopefully lead to triumphant, happy times.
