All of us at Ani Art Academies were very excited to find out last week that the digital copies of the artwork created by three Ani Alumni are going to the moon! A time capsule is set to be aboard Astrobotic’s Peregrine Lunar Lander and scheduled to land on the Moon in late 2021. Ani Alumni whose artwork will be included in the time capsule are Victoria Steel, Leah Waichulis, and Kierstin C. Young. For more on the 2021 Mission to the moon please click HERE.
Debra Kierce has been busy!!!
Congratulations to Debra on all of her recent accomplishments!
Three of her paintings got accepted into a permanent collection of the United States Coast Guard. Always Ready (12.5x36", Oil), Friends (18x 27.75, Oil), and Hoisted (18x26.5", Oil) will make a great addition to the collection. The Salmagundi Excellence Committee was impressed by Debra’s formidable talent as well as her dedication and commitment to the art program, as we all are!
Debra’s painting Under the Sun was selected to be included in the annual Pintura Floral Exhibition. Exhibition Dates March 19 - April 24, 2021. Studio Pintura Fine Art Gallery specializes in Contemporary Realist and Impressionist works located in Minneapolis, MN.
One more great accomplishment by Debra Kierce. She is on fire! Debra took second place at the 17th Annual Bryn Du Art Show, which will be held from March 5 - 27, 2021. We are starting a new and exciting section in our Zoom Roundtable sessions - Artist Spotlight . At the beginning of each session, we will hear from one of the artists in the group about themselves, their artistic journey, career, etc. Next session the spotlight is on Debra Kierce.
