Greetings, you are receiving this newsletter because you are registered for our Artist Round Table Bi-Monthly Zoom Sessions. We will be sending a follow-up newsletter like this after each session to highlight the key points discussed during the roundtable.
Congratulations to all Artist Round Table members who made it to the 16th ARC Salon Finalists List! ARC received over 5,400 entries this year from 75 countries, and 1,273 works have been selected as finalists. For a full list of finalists, please follow the LINK.
Congratulations to Christine Porter Lofaro! Her solo show Essence at the Malta Society of Arts was a success. “Through an exploration of objects and figures, Porter Lofaro’s work seeks to offer a space where such fragile instances are brought to the forefront of our consideration. At the core of her work is a human connection as a compelling and inescapable emotive bond.”
Christine is on a roll! Her painting Life Goes On (25 x 25cm, Oil on Board) is a finalist in the British Art Prize 2022 and the 16th ARC Salon! currently, the painting is on display at Gallery@oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf, London.
“This work focuses on the concept that there is nothing that stops life. Whether it is something positive like happiness or something painful like grief, nothing stays forever, and life goes on. At the same time, the journey of accepting a reality that you didn’t ask for is exceedingly hard. Believing that life does go on is comforting and hopeful.” - Christine
Do not miss the Maxwell Alexander Gallery Black Friday Sale! The sale starts on November 25th at 9 a.m. PT.

Please note: Michael Siegel’s company “Old Master’s Maroger” has transformed into a new entity, “Classic Mediums.” In this new arena, what was formerly known as “Maroger Italian Wax Medium” is now labeled “Venetian Wax Medium.”
From Michael: New Company - Same Products
“For over 18 years, I was co-owner of Old Masters Maroger, supplying artists all over the world with the finest traditional handmade oil painting mediums. OMM had a great run and has now closed permanently, but I am excited to unveil Classic Mediums, continuing the tradition of producing and offering these unique products.”
Classic Mediums is offering Flemish Maroger, Venetian Wax Medium (formerly Italian Wax Medium), Black Oil, Mastic Varnish, and Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil.
Please, check out the post that Anthony made of Smartemarx: Actual Gallery Contract Samples. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this post (and feel free to add more to the post if you have them!)
In discussing magnification tools, Anthony shared that he uses a simple (no light attached) 2.5x clip magnifier. The glass for the magnifier came from this: Adjustable Helping Hand with Magnifying Glass. And the clip for it was taken from this device: Daylight UN91101 Mini Flexilens On 7-Inch Clip (The glass that came with the clip-on magnifier was terrible, which is why he replaced it.):
Please check out this big commission that Victoria Herrera recently completed!!! Way to go Victoria! Madame M. (72x44”, Oil on Belgian Linen).
Due to chain of supply issues, it has been very hard to get your hands on this medium. Please do me a favor and check all your local art stores; maybe they have a bottle or two in the back.
