Artist Round Table Bi-Monthly Zoom Session Follow-Up Newsletter (11-30-2022)

Greetings, you are receiving this newsletter because you are registered for our Artist Round Table Bi-Monthly Zoom Sessions. We will be sending a follow-up newsletter like this after each session to highlight the key points discussed during the roundtable.

Congratulations to Deborah Kommalan! Her painting Las Granadas (8x10”, Oil on Panel) received an Honorable Mention at the Fall Members’ Show. The show was held by the Maryland Federation of Art and displayed at the Federation’s Circle Gallery.

More exciting news for Deborah Kommalan! Two of her paintings, Wasted (12x16”, Oil on panel) and Lost My Marbles II (11x14”, Oil on Panel) are hanging at the Baltimore Washington International Airport.

Another member has a painting at the airport. Laurie’s Szilvagyi painting Goodwood Revival Remnants (14x11", Oil on Panel) is hanging at the Knoxville Tyson Airport. The Good Revival is a reference to the legendary Goodwood Motor Circuit near Chichester, England. The Circuit was an active racing venue from 1948 until its closing in 1966 when it was deemed too dangerous for modern times.

Just think about thousands of people passing by Debrah’s and Laurie’s paintings every day!!!

Debra Keirce will be doing an all-day painting demonstration at Seaside Art Gallery, Nags Head, NC, on November 3rd. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by!

Check out this 6 hours VIDEO!!! Julie Beck and other Academy of Realist Art Boston instructors discuss how they use the skill set we learn in school in dramatically different ways.

There is still time to get your own Julie’s Beck custom-designed Trekell limited edition brush set! Supply is limited! This set is comprised of the brushes that she uses for building form and the application of fine details in her paintings.

Thank you, Jamie Lindholm, for recommending two books this past session.
