Up Next: This is a wip for my series of a musician waiting to go on stage.
I only have the head hair and neck finished and text is a first layer block in. I invented some of the stickers on the door with names of some musicians that passed last year and this year.
It is a complicated design with all the posters and stickers and text as well as my experimenting with tools and wax mediums to get some impasto areas happening. The text is a combo of hand done and some drawn more precise as it is in life. Are the relationships of value, color and textures working and comments on the design appreciated. I am shooting for atmosphere and mood of this women’s bathroom door in a rock club with the rock singer waiting to go up next.
