After drawing my dad’s collection of coins I thought I should also draw some of his stamps. This is a small pastel, 12x9 inches and I must admit that I regret I did it that small. Too much detail to do with pastels. I used mostly pastel pencils. Soft pastel sticks only for the background and for highlights. Support Pastelmat. Gorgeous as always Irene! The first thing that popped in my mind was how conducive the pastels were to this level of detail/resolution. In any case, again, it looks amazing.
